A note from Andy East, our Director and the Founder of TOPLETS Student Accommodation:
“Whilst studying at Loughborough University, I was living at 84 Leopold Street – a dilapidated, tired and old-fashioned 3 bedroom student house. The standard of rented accommodation was quite frankly, appalling.
As a student, I was paying a large percentage of my student loan and income on rent, with very little to show for it. I knew that something had to change. Having completed both my undergraduate and postgraduate degree at Loughborough University, I knew the standards of living and service that students need and deserve.
From this, TOPLETS was born in 2002. Our mission is the same as it was on Day 1: to bring modern and high quality student living to Loughborough, for an affordable price. As a team, we pride ourselves on providing the very best service in student accommodation. We go above and beyond to ensure you are cared for and looked after throughout your tenancy with us.

Tom Burton
Director
When studying both my Undergraduate and Masters degrees at Loughborough University, I lived in multiple student houses in the area – all with different landlords and friendship groups. Having joined the company in its infancy, we are proud to have realised the vision of growing to be one of the market leaders in the area. Drawing on these experiences, we now aim to cater for student’s needs not only in terms of quality of housing, but providing a great service that contributes to their Uni experience, helping to pave the road to life beyond their studies.

Having a passion for both properties and people, I thoroughly enjoy the dynamic social aspect of my role as Lettings Manager. Meeting new people and showcasing the diverse range of properties that we have on our portfolio is an exciting part of my day to day activities. As a Lettings Manager, I understand that every client has unique requirements and preferences when it comes to property styling which is why at TopLets, we believe that a well-designed and inviting environment plays a significant role in attracting and retaining quality tenants.

After over 5 years of experience in customer service, the opportunity to develop and apply my skills in the property industry was something I couldn’t refuse and TOPLETS was the perfect place to do this. From a young age I was captivated by the world of student accommodation. Growing up, my family’s involvement in the industry exposed me to the intricate workings of property management and the unique needs of students seeking housing. Having witnessed the local impact firsthand, I developed a strong connection to my community and a genuine interest in providing quality accommodations for students. This passion led me to make the decision to pursue a career in the field, joining the dedicated team at TopLets.

Having run my own building business in and around Loughborough for over 25 years, I feel like I can transfer my skills to the challenges that student accommodation presents.
