What happens if my friend doesn’t pay their rent?

All of our tenancy agreements are joint and severally liable. This means your group sign for the house together, on one contract, and you are all liable for the property’s full rent. To offer some protection for each individual tenant, we require an individual UK-based guarantor. This means, should a tenant not pay their rent, we have the options of contacting their individual guarantor to recover the funds before the other housemates.
